Program Description:
Custodial Maintenance allows and prepares students to secure employment, management and entrepreneur opportunities in the expanding and labor-intensive service cleaning industry. Students will learn how to safely and effectively use a wide variety of cleaning equipment and chemicals that are used in cleaning. Some of the major areas of instruction include wall cleaning, window cleaning, carpet and upholstery care, floor maintenance, starting and operating a cleaning business, and employability skills. The students also learn the importance of employee accountability, pride in job performance, a good work ethic, the ability to work with others because it allows the students to begin the transition to the outside world before returning to society.
