Message from the President

DCC Knights,

Welcome to Danville Community College (DCC) where we are committed to providing a quality education to support your goals!  As you begin or continue your journey with us, I want to take this opportunity to express how honored I am to serve as the Interim President of this esteemed institution. It is my great pleasure to introduce you to our college catalog, a comprehensive guide to the many opportunities and resources available to help you achieve your goals. Whether you are a prospective student exploring your options, a current student planning your academic journey, or a member of our community seeking to connect with our programs, you will find that this catalog reflects the heart and mission of Danville Community College.

At DCC, we are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing learning environment. Our faculty and staff are here to ensure you have the resources, opportunities, and guidance needed to achieve your goals.  As we proceed with the 2024-2025 academic year, we celebrate the rich diversity of our student body, the strength of our partnerships with local industries and communities, and the power of education to transform lives. This catalog is more than a guide to our programs, policies, and services; it represents a roadmap to your future and the many possibilities that await you.

I encourage you to take full advantage of all that DCC has to offer-inside and outside the classroom. Engage with your peers, connect with your instructors, and seek out the resources that will support your growth. You have chosen an institution that is invested in your success, and we are here to help you every step of the way.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your educational journey. Together, let us make this year one of discovery, growth, and achievement.

Best wishes for a successful academic year! Go Knights!

Regards,

Dr. Cornelius Johnson

Interim President
